HSJ: HealthTech Partnership Award

HSJ Partnership Awards
Our work to lower barriers to mental health support has been awarded the highly commended award for the HealthTech Partnership of the Year at the HSJ Awards 2023.

This announcement recognises an outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration within the NHS.

The work is a collaboration between NHS Gloucestershire, Made Tech and Mace & Menter.

The national healthcare sector has faced countless pressures over the past 12 months – yet the standard and positivity of this partnership has highlighted the enduring dedication to improving patient outcomes. Read full details about the project here.

Judging panel

The judging panel comprised a diverse range of highly regarded figures across the NHS and wider healthcare sector. To be shortlisted as a finalist for this award, despite tough competition from a pool of brilliant applications, is a mark of real achievement for NHS Gloucestershire, Made Tech and Mace & Menter. They have been selected based on their diligence, ambition and the positive impact that the project has had on both practitioners and patients within the healthcare industry.

Blended team

Made Tech and Mace & Menter were commissioned to work alongside internal NHS Gloucestershire teams to build an in-house solution for children and young people’s mental health services. Made Tech provided the digital technology skills, Mace & Menter applied experience of service design and user centred design and NHS Gloucestershire brought the subject matter expertise.

In February this year, NHS Gloucestershire launched the output of this collaboration - the digital support finder, On Your Mind Glos.

Collaborative effort

Beth Gibbons, Programme Manager, Children’s Mental Health & Maternity NHS Gloucestershire, said:

“We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the HealthTech Partnership of the Year award, recognising the collaborative efforts and dedication of our teams to successfully implement On Your Mind Glos. We’re committed to delivering improved outcomes for children and young people and to be chosen among the other incredible nominees is a wonderful achievement. This nomination has been a tremendous boost to both our team, Integrated Care System providers, and our partners at Made Tech and Mace & Menter, and I’m sure it will bolster our continued efforts to improve.”

HSJ editor Alastair McLellan said:

“We would like to congratulate NHS Gloucestershire, Made Tech and Mace & Menter on being nominated in the category of HealthTech Partnership of the Year, ahead of HSJ Partnership Awards 2023. We are looking forward to welcoming them to the ceremony in March, to join us in recognising the very best collaborations and innovations in the healthcare sector. This year’s finalists are of an outstanding calibre and all of them are exceptionally dedicated to enhancing healthcare across the UK.”
